Trainer on Duty - Personal Trainer/PT (#024)

Location: Uptown YWCA
Hours: Tues 3:30pm-9pm, Thurs 3:30pm-8pm, Fri 3:30pm-8pm
Description
The Trainer on Duty will be responsible for the member experience in the fitness center, focused on member interaction,
fitness center cleanliness and equipment maintenance in accordance to YWCA Minneapolis Health and Fitness brand standards.
AND
Responsible for the delivery, sales and promotion of various Pilates/Personal Training services that offer members/clients a method to
maximize workout efficiency and Pilates/Personal Training benefits including balance, alignment, core strength, injury
rehabilitation and sports performance. As fitness professional your work should also have a focus on overall fitness needs and goals,
improve fitness, increase stamina and improve overall sense of well being. Schedule and complete record keeping according to standard
operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- NETA, AFAA, NASM,NSCA,ACE Personal Training Certification, other by approval
- CPR/AED first aid certification
- Experience in the fitness industry
- Group Fitness instructor experience preferred
- Must have exceptional customer service skills and proven ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Strong relationship building
- Must have excellent communication skills- written and verbal, effectively communicate with members and other team members
- Preferred Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in Kinesiology, Corporate Fitness, physical Education, Sports Management, and Recreation or in a related field.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Pilates Required:
- Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Mat and reformer trained and certified, nationally recognized certification, STOTT PILATES, Physical Mind, Polestar, PEAK, others upon approval.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Minimum 10 hours per week must be available at least 1 evening and 1 weekend day. Fitness or other teaching experience.
- Must possess excellent time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills are required.
- Ability toresolve conflict in a positive and productive manner.

Personal Training Required:
- Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Nationally recognized personal trainer certification, NETA, AFFA, ACSM, NASM, ACE, and NSCA, others upon approval.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Minimum 10 hours per week must be available at least 1 evening and 1 weekend day.
- Fitness or other teaching experience.
- Must possess excellent time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills are required. Ability to resolve conflict in a positive and productive manner.

Preferred:
- Bi-lingual highly preferred.
$9.00=DOQ AND $28.00+DOQ
