Reimbursement Information

Your reimbursement will occur two months after the month of participation. If you are a debit member, the reimbursement will not show up as a credit on your bank statement. Rather your monthly membership fees will be reduced to reflect the credit. If you miss a month, your future reimbursements will follow this same schedule.

For example, if you complete 8 workouts in July, the reimbursement for July will be applied in September and your September bank draft will reflect your dues reimbursement. Likewise, if you do not complete 8 workouts in August, your October bank draft will not have the reimbursement applied, and should reflect your normal membership fee.

If you are a paid-in-full member, your monthly reimbursement will show up as a credit on your membership account. Upon the renewal of your membership you can apply these credits towards the total amount due. In the event you decide to terminate your membership, a check will be issued for any remaining credit balances.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times do I have to work out a month?
To be eligible for the monthly reimbursement, you must work out 8 times per month.

How will my workouts be tracked?
Each time you work out, club staff will "swipe" your YWCA membership card into a card reader, which will register your workout. Be sure to have your card swiped at the front desk every time you work out so that the club has an accurate account of your workouts.

Why does the club need my HealthPartners member number?
The YWCA needs to record your unique number when you sign up for the program so your YWCA membership account can be credited correctly. Providing that information at registration also ensures the club that you qualify for the program.

What if I work out at different YWCAs throughout the month? Will they all get tallied and count toward my 8 workouts?
If you join the Freedom Frequent Fitness Program through the YWCA of Minneapolis, you can work out at any of the three YWCA of Minneapolis Health & Fitness facilities.

I have a Two Adult or Two Senior membership. How will the workouts be counted?
Each person must work out 8 times per month to receive his or her reimbursement. For example, if you work out 9 times this month and your spouse works out 7 times, you would be eligible for the reimbursement, but your spouse would not. Each eligible adult's workouts (limit two per household) will be tracked on his or her YWCA membership account.

I have a Two Adult or a Two Senior membership, but only one of us qualifies for the plan. How much money will we get back?
A participant ona dual membership who meets the monthly requirement will be reimbursed for their half of the membership dues. For example, a Two Senior membership with one qualifying participant would earn a $35 credit for months during which the workout requirement was met.

If I miss one or two workouts one month, can I make them up the next month and still get reimbursed for the month I fell short?
No. You cannot make up workouts from the previous month.
