YWCA Women's Triathlon
Be a part of Minnesota's first women's-only triathlon at Baker Park, August 17, 2008! This race will bring together and support women of all ages and abilities to achieve success in this exciting sport. For more info, go to the race website: www.ywcawomenstri.org
YWCA Indoor Triathlons
An indoor triathlon is a perfect way for beginner to introduce themselves to the thrill of triathlon or veterans to test their fitness without the stress and hassles of open water or wrangling with a bike. We provide the pool and bike. You just have to swim, bike and run. Loads of fun! Learn more.
Triathlon Classes
Triathlon Training Classes
Unravel the complexity of balancing triathlon training and life!
Coach-led workouts and skill sessions include swimming, biking, running, transitions and tri-specific strength and conditioning.
You will also learn effective training progressions and recovery strategies to make your progress faster, enjoyable and time
efficient. You will be able to complete an indoor triathlon or aim for a sprint distance triathlon outdoors.
Note: These classes meet for 6 weeks, for 1.5 hour per class. Not offered in summer.
Cost: $60 members, $96 non-members Triathlon Race Skills Class There will be two summer sessions:
A summer class that takes place at outdoor locations and focuses on specific skills needed for outdoor triathlons such
as bike handling, open water swimming, transitions, combo (brick) workouts and more. Our coaches will meet you at your level
whether you are a beginner or a veteran. Learn how to enjoy the sport to the fullest by advancing your skills and learning
the tricks of the tri!
There will be four two-hour sessions for each class
Cost: $60 members, $96 non-members
Registration: Two registration options are available:
- Register through the YWCA in person, by phone or online (members only). Registration for session 4A opens June 2, and for session 4B on July 7.
- We have added a second option for those who want to register early, or for non-members who want to register online. Go to Midwestevents.com to register for either session now.
