Pilates Classes

Mat Classes

STOTT PILATES® Photography © Merrithew Corporation Mat classes are a group approach to mat-based training. We have two levels to accommodate your experience at a variety of times:

  • Essential mat classes focus on basic principles, simple movements and are the entry point for people with no or little Pilates experience.
  • Experienced classes require previous Pilates experience and progress at a faster pace with more advanced exercises and modifications. Pilates mat classes are included in your membership and no sign up is required.

For more information on classes and schedules, please refer to our Group Fitness Class Schedules.

Reformer Group Classes

STOTT PILATES® Photography © Merrithew Corporation The Reformer is the main piece of equipment used in Pilates training and operates on a series of springs and pulleys. Pilates mat classes are a great way to develop strength, flexibility and endurance and you can achieve even faster and more impressive results on a reformer. Reformer classes are a specialty group fitness approach to Pilates and are limited to three or four persons. The small size of the groups, and the intense amount of training and skill required by our Pilates staff allow for personal attention and maximum benefits. Classes are offered in a series so that participants may progress together.

  • Essential Reformer classes require no previous experience, focus on principles and beginning exercises, and the pace is slower. You may repeat this series as often as you like.
  • Intermediate Reformer classes have a pre-requisite of at least one series of Essential Reformer classes, private Pilates training, or previous reformer experience. This class is faster paced and includes intermediate level exercises.
  • Jumpboard Reformer classes are intermediate level and incorporate the use of the Jumpboard to train plyometrics and add an aerobic benefit to your Pilates workout. This class has a pre-requisite of at least one series of Essential Reformer, private Pilates training, or previous reformer experience.
