Otters Rates & Registration Information
Registration is done on a monthly basis. Otters must be registered for each month of participation by the first day they start practice to be allowed into practice. For households with multiple children participating, there is a reduced price for all additional family members. There are two methods of registration available to all Otters.
- Option 1: The Automatic Debit Program is our preferred method of registration for the obvious benefits of price and a timely registration. The Automatic Debit Program allows you to select the months that you would like to have automatically deducted from your checking/savings account for your participation in the Otters Swim Team. Debits must be submitted by the 15th of the month to go into effect for the following month of registration. Please refer to the 2009-2010 Debit Agreement form, or our team handbook for cancellation policies.
- Option 2: Registration through the Hospitality Desk can be done either in person or over the phone. Registrations processed before the first day of the month of registration receive 15% off full registration price. It is a participant's responsibility to register in a timely manner and no discounts will be extended into the first of the month. Members of the YWCA may also take advantage of online program registration offered through Membership Accounts Online.

*Note, to get the member rate, the participant must be a YWCA Health & Fitness member as part of an Adult/Child membership or a Youth membership.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available to help subsidize the cost of our team. Awards and applications are handled entirely by the YWCA's Scholarship Specialist. Scholarships are awarded based on household income and size. They last for the entire season (September- July).
Applications for the Otters Swim Team are available at all hospitality desks. Please note that applications take up to three weeks to process, so applicants are asked to apply in August to receive a scholarship by the beginning of the season. All scholarship recipients will receive a team suit, cap and goggles for the season.
